Their are many reasons people are for or against embryonic stem cell research, and we believe that most people are sincere in their stance either for or against this research.
    We hear different perspectives all the time, some say this research is equivalent to murder, others say that it is against Gods will, still other groups pronounce that embryonic stem cell research should be fully banned for similar reasons.
    We have spent years evaluating these statements, the sincerity of their beliefs, and the reasons for such opposition.   We have found the following flaws in the reasoning, and we also list other reasons for supporting embryonic stem cell research.
                                                  Things to consider.

• Embryonic stem cells are removed from a blastocyst not an embryo.

• Until researchers develop an alternative to embryonic stem cells, we have no other option...Embryonic stem cells are the best of the best, the gold standard, and will remain so for many years to come.   These cells are 100% totipotent (total potency) that is they can become any cell or tissue type of the more than 200 types in the human body.

• Nobody knows the will of God...In our opinion God could just as well be testing us to see if we are compassionate enough to use these tools (that he has given us) to cure our fellow human beings.

• We feel that embryonic stem cell research should go forward, indeed we should be having a Manhatten type project with these cells!  But that strict regulation should be in place to prevent its misuse. (just imagine the financial markets with real oversight in place)

• The moral argument fails on the FACT that over one third of all pregnancies are ended by a spontaneous abortion without the woman ever knowing she was pregnant.

• Some embryonic stem cell opponents claim that it is immoral to do any research on embryonic tissue, However we find this reasoning to be EXTREMELY HYPOCRITICAL due to the fact that they (and their children) have already benefited from this exact type of research.
  They have willingly allowed the use of polio, rubella, and other vaccines to be given to them and their prodigy, these vaccines were created on a mat of fetal cells which have the same potential to become human as any stem cell.   These vaccines have saved tens of millions of lives!

Let's be honest....This is what the drug companies see EVERY TIME someone gets sick.

It is time to put away drug based therapies (that only treat the symptoms) and begin a new age of curing disease.  The research community now has most of the tools needed to find cures, now we just need to join together and push forward.

There will never be a time when drugs are not needed in one form or another, however when cures do come it will be nice to see these drugs used on a temporary basis.
